Congratulations! I have been and still am doing Volunteer work for the largest cancer research study ever undertaken in Atlantic Canada. I have had many of my own Meetings to reel in participants for them. Since my own two children developed cancer in 2009 and 2010, I wanted to do something for my Community, Fredericton and beyond. I decided I wanted to help future generations, so they would not sucuumb to cancer or at least catch it sooner so it could be treated at an earlier stage. It has been quite a journey for me and my children. My daughter Trudy Jameson and myself were both at the Conference and it has been the most rewarading Conference I have ever attended. Erin of course was wounderful to hear, we knew her story from cover to cover and it was great to hear her in person and the great work she is doing. Senator Yonah Martin moved us to tears what a wounderful woman. I commend her on her determination and dedications to her work for others, beautiful inside and out. Margaret-Ann Blaney, Shannon MacDonald, Barb Stegemann and Kerry Rakuson all beautiful speakers! The one thing I noted was that either their Mother or Father was their role model. So important for us to be our children's role model. I am also very compassionate towards cancer and cancer studies, cure, prevention and research. The need to continue with prevention and research is so important for four grandchildren and future generations.
